Indications / Uses: Fast (Paracetamol) is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever. It is commonly prescribed for headache, toothache, body ache, muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, menstrual pain, cold and flu symptoms, and fever associated with infections. It is also widely used to reduce fever after vaccination and in various inflammatory conditions where pain and elevated body temperature are present. Paracetamol works by reducing the production of certain chemicals in the brain responsible for pain and fever. Dose / How to Use: The dose depends on age, body weight, and severity of symptoms. For adults, the usual dose is 500 mg to 1000 mg every 4 to 6 hours when necessary, without exceeding the recommended maximum daily dose. It may be taken with or without food. For children, the dose is usually determined according to body weight and should be given under medical guidance. Patients should follow the prescribed dose carefully and avoid taking multiple paracetamol-containing products at the same time to prevent overdose. Side Effects: Paracetamol is generally well tolerated when used at recommended doses. Common side effects are uncommon but may include nausea, stomach discomfort, or mild skin rash. In rare cases, allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or breathing difficulty may occur. Excessive or prolonged use can cause serious liver damage, especially in patients with liver disease, chronic alcohol use, or overdose situations. Kidney problems may also occur rarely with long-term high-dose use.
